| （School of Physical Education，Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences，Chongqing 402160，China) Abstract: Currently, in school physical education there are the following signs of deviation: vague understanding of the nature of physical education teaching due to overly emphasizing competition elements; it was difficult to exert the actual effect of playgrounds and equipment; course teaching contents were too competitive and teaching imple-mentation manners were too professional etc. Starting with the remodeling of competitive sports playgrounds and equipment, competitive sports events and professionalized teaching manners, the authors thought about such an is-sue as applying competitive sports as a means to physical education teaching.
