(School of Physical Education,Hunan International Economics University,Changsha 410205,China) Abstract: The author put forward and analyzed sports constraints at different stages of life, discussed the relationship be-tween heteronomous sport and autonomous sport, examined the realistic situation of heteronomous sport and autonomous sport in China, and put forward the following opinions: China has stronger heteronomous sport, but weaker autonomous sport; the drawbacks of traditional culture and the negative effects of exam-oriented education are main causes for such a situation; if China wants to raise the level of its autonomous sport, it needs school physical education to value nurturance education; in the process of implementation of sports nurturance education, its education means include heteronomous means and autonomous means, teachers should apply them in an action specific and flexible way.
