| （Department of Police Training，Xinjiang Police College，Urumqi 830001，China) Abstract: According to the characteristics of violent / terrorist cases occurring recently, the author studied ways to form unarmed defense and control abilities of students by taking police college for example, and concluded that en-hancing real combat awareness, mastering martial art elements, and valuing real combat fighting, are important ways to form unarmed defense and control abilities for real combats.
