(1.School of Physical Education,South China Normal University,Guangzhou 510006,China;2.Scientific Research Institute,General Administration of Sport,Beijing 100763,China;3.Tianjin University of Sport,Tianjin 300381) Abstract: The authors tracked and studied “supervision and operation separation” for Chinese Professional Football League, and found that the currently unseparated supervision and operation of Chinese Professional Football League mainly embodied in exclusive monopoly by administrative associations, unclear professional league orientation, the overlap between supervision and operation organization functions, the lack of assurance of obligations and rights, low league operation efficiency, and the lack of operator abilities. The followings must be done in order to realize supervision and operation separation for the Professional Football League: change government management func-tions, reinforce the industry independency mechanism; specify league property relationship, establish the legal statuses of various parties; perfect the league governance structure, clarify league supervision and operation rela-tionship; respect league operating rules, ensure legitimate rights of various parties; build a league assurance system, reinforce the league supervision mechanism.
