(1.Institute of Physical Education,Zhejiang University of Technology,Hangzhou 310014,China;2.School of Wushu,Shanghai University of Sports,Shanghai 200438,China) Abstract: In order to thoroughly solve such an issue as which type of contents should be adopted for school Wushu popularization and education, the authors practiced teaching reform primarily on regular college Wushu elective course. Through their 10 years of exploration in Zhejiang University of Technology, the authors verified that such a reform idea as “weakening routines, highlighting methods, emphasizing applications” is more conforming to the specific reality of regular college Wushu elective course today. Based on their introspection of the entire teaching reform process, the authors put forward the following suggestions: techniques which are simple, direct and easy to apply should be selected as regular college Wushu elective course teaching contents; the one on one competition between two open type students should be adopted as the main form of classroom practice.
