(Zhenjiang High School of Jiangsu Province,Zhenjiang 212017,China) Abstract: In order to know about the current conditions of the curriculum implementing ability of regular senior high school physical education teachers, and to actively probe into effective development strategies, the author investigated and interviewed physical education teachers and researchers in some regulars senior high schools in 17 provinces across China, and revealed the following findings: most of the teachers lacked curriculum understanding ability, design ability, execution ability and retrospection ability; the main reasons for affecting the development of curriculum implementing ability of the teachers were as follows according to the author’s analysis: curriculum training lacked effectiveness; the teachers failed to exert their subjective initiative; the principals at the basic level had a deviated management focus; there was a lack of an effective physical education teaching supervision mechanism; there were certain deficiencies in curriculum design. The author put forward the following proposals: strengthen assurance mechanism construction; stimulate the teachers’ intrinsic motive power; actively create a stimulating atmosphere; constantly optimize curriculum design, etc. Key words: school physical education;curriculum implementation ability;physical education teacher;physical education and health curriculum standard;senior high school |
