(Department of Physical Education,Henan University of Technology,Jiaozuo 454000,China) Abstract: The paper revealed the academic criticism condition of physical education science in China in the criticism papers published in the 13 kinds of physical education periodicals from 2001 to 2003. Conclusions are as follows: (1) There are 98 pieces of papers were published in the 13 kinds of physical education periodicals, which makes up only 1.29 percent of the total. As we know,the core journals are the main fronts for the academic criticism papers,and its main body of criticism is the scholars with senior titles, but there is even no “Academic Criticism” columns in any of the mentioned periodicals.(2) Lacking studies and consideration for the fundamental problems of academic criticism of physical education science is worth deeply thinking.In addition,some criticism are really random and natural,which can't form a specific criticism system of itself.In fact, seriously lacking academic criticism implies the academic fragrant crisis which caused our anxious.(3) The studies and development of academic criticism are unbalance between regions.The present situation of academic criticism is that Three lacks four “no”s and “Five Mistaken Views”. Therefore,some suggestions are put forward,that is,effective policies should be formulated;academic criticism of physical education science should be paid great attention and developed.In this way, academic atmosphere for criticism can be foms so as to strengthen the construction of academic criticism and establish a criticism system.
