(School of Physical Education,South China Normal University,Guangzhou 510006,China) Abstract: By investigating athletes at Guangdong provincial team training base, the authors gained an insight into the current situation of the incentive systems exerting their functions, and revealed the following findings: the ath-lete incentive systems of Guangdong had promoted athletes’ training initiative to a certain extent, and better fulfilled competitive sports tasks, but still had such problems as not so rational system design, incomplete institutional sys-tem, insufficient incentive compatibility, having system loopholes, lacking in effective supervision, etc. Aiming at the said problems, the authors put forward the following proposals: the salary incentive systems should be time ap-propriate, timely and fair; build a various incentive manners coordinated competition reward system; establish a clear and detailed competition training management and punishment system; establish and implement a practically effective supervision and restriction mechanism, etc. Key words: sports management;excellent athlete;incentive system;Guangdong |
