(School of Physical Education,Shanxi Normal University,Linfen 041000,China) Abstract: By comparing the policy characteristics, organization management and time allocation etc regarding ex-tracurricular sports activities in China and 20 physical education association member countries in Europe, the au-thors derived the following inspirations therein: China should clarify the subject of responsibility, implement poli-cies in practice, correctly recognize the functions and values of extracurricular activities, intensify teacher configu-ration, explore and form an extracurricular activity mode and operating mechanism in which schools, communities and sports organizations are interactive.
