| （1.Department of Sport，Nanjing Institute of Technology，Nanjing 211167，China；2.School of Humanities，Southeast University，Nanjing 211189，China) Abstract: Based on history and philosophy related literature, by way of combining history with theory, the authors explored the intrinsic relationship between Nietzsche’s body philosophy ideology and Coubertin’s Olympic ideol-ogy. Nietzsche overturned the thinking pathway of traditional western philosophy, affirmed and adored the body ex-isting in the world, believed that the body full of power will was the foundation of existence, while competition was the way of reinforcing power will. Coubertin revived ancient Olympic tradition, affirmed and adored the body full of sense of strength and masculinity in competition. Nietzsche’s body philosophy ideology and Coubertin’s Olympic ideology have strong intrinsic connectivity and complementarity; Nietzsche’s body philosophy ideology can provide ideological support for Coubertin’s Olympic ideology, while Coubertin’s Olympic world can provide practical di-mensions for Nietzsche’s body philosophy.
