| （1.Guangdong Judicial Police Vocational College，Guangzhou 510520，China；2.Department of Physical Education，Guangdong University of Technology，Guangzhou 510006，China；3.Guangdong Peizheng College，Guangzhou 510830，China) Abstract: The authors analyzed the time characteristics of greenway sports from such 3 aspects as greenway sports “excitement sport” construction and space reconstruction, greenway sports leisure need classification and ecological resource provision, greenway sports as fashion exercises and resident exercise habits, and put forward the following 5 ways for the harmonious development of greenway sports and urban ecological environment: relieve urban leisure space deficiency by means of greenway sports, advocate “everybody involved” greenway leisure and greenway maintenance; create a spiritual atmosphere for the places, seize opportunities for the low carbon sports industry; de-velop greenway sports rationally, highlight the public product attributes of greenway sports; establish a mode of “co-governance” by stakeholders, strengthen the combination of government legislative assurance for greenway sports with education guidance.
