| (1.Department of Physical Education,Chenzhou Teachers College, Chenzhou 423000,China; 2.China Sports Scientific Research Institute, Beijing 100061,China） Abstract: Taking the sports participants in the city zone of Chenzhouas the research subject,the essay studies the current situation of mass sports in the city.The result shows that the backward in the people's ideal of consumption and scientific exercise makes sports market slowly developed; organization degree affects exercise of participants; people obviously relies on commonweal exercise way; the shortage of field restricts mass sports; the character of zone and humanism affects the sports selected.
