(Institute of Physical Fitness for Students,Henan University,Kaifeng 475001,China) Abstract: The author studied the current situation of regular university physical education curriculum reform in China nowadays, summarized the following problems existing in physical education reform: wrong cognition of teaching concept, unlimited amplification of curriculum functions, greater form than content during curriculum re-form, totally denying passive education, exaggerating interest education, etc. On this basis, the author proposed that physical education reform ideology should maintain the respect for disciplinary system, the respect for teaching es-sence, and the respect for reform history, and that reform contents should be in conformity with knowledge teaching and learning pattern, curriculum development pattern, and student body development pattern.
