(School of Physical Education,Jilin University,Changchun 130012,China) Abstract: University public physical education teachers are physical education executors, playing an important role in guiding physical education teaching. From the macro perspective, physical education teachers should comprehen-sively promote the realization of multiple education objectives by starting with education essence, basing the pre-condition on guiding sports interest and the foundation on tutoring stamina training. From the medium perspective, physical education teachers should think from the student perspective, change their idea from “focusing on teach-ing” to “focusing on learning”, change their thinking from “knowledge injection” to “interest inspiration”, change their role from “actor” to “director”, fully highlight university students’ principal roles. From the micro perspective, physical education teachers should teach exercising ways, instruct exercising methods and coach exercising habits by basing the criterion on scientific training, so as to effectively complete such a teaching mission as “teaching stu-dents how to learn”. In future public physical education teaching, attention should be paid not only to the exertion of students’ principal roles, but also to the execution of the teachers’ “learning guidance” philosophy, so as to realize the mutual interaction and improvement between teachers and students in the process of teaching and learning.
