(1.Department of National Sports and Performance,Nanjing Sports Institute,Nanjing 210014,China;2.School of Wushu,Wuhan Sport University,Wuhan 430079,China) Abstract: Basing their research object on the “intention” in Chinese Wushu, the authors analyzed the “intention” of Chinese Wushu in terms of “technique”, “art” and “spirit”, and concluded that “intention” is the soul of Chinese Wushu, mainly embodied in such 3 terms as “technique”, “art” and “spirit”. Therein, the technical “intention” of Chi-nese Wushu is embodied in conveying the real intention of Wushu boxing through external boxing presentation; the ar-tistic “intention” of Chinese Wushu is embodied in showing the idealized connotative intension of Wushu boxing through artistic presentation means; the spiritual “intention” of Chinese Wushu is embodied in achieving a supreme state called as “perfection” through transformation from an “intentional” process to an “unintentional” process.
