Japan’s MEXT unites local governments to arrange necessary venues and other fa-cilities for schools to develop “Outdoor Experience Activities”, and provides them with special fund support. Japan contains “Outdoor Experience Activities” in student comprehensive sports learning and sports special activities, values the cultivation of students’ survival philosophy and survival skills, focus on students’ life safety basic education, and advocates optimizing the interpersonal relationship between students. Japan pursues the optimization and maximization of the effect of “Outdoor Experience Activities” through such ways as establishing corresponding teenager sports policies, exploring diversified or-ganization modes, using formative activity standards and fusing fitness conceptions etc. For school physical education in China, we can learn from the experience of Japanese “Outdoor Experience Activities”, seek for the united support of such three levels as the state, local government and schools, reform existing physical education curriculum and teaching organiza-tion development mode, value cultivating students’ sense of social responsibility and survival abilities, and promote students to better adapt to the roles they will play and the obligations and responsibilities they will take in future society.
