0(Institute of Phisical Education,Liaoning Normal University, Dalian 116029,China) Abstract: on account of the landsliping phenomenon of teaching result in generally optionnal track and field course for PE majors in the normal university, the article, with the methods of documentation and questionnaire, is to analyze and approach the factors that affect track and field teaching, which indicate that student's poor capacity of self-training, poorly-built body, inadequete time for practice in spare time, no guarrantee of trainning conditions and insufficient teaching hours all have a varying impact on teaching result of track and field course, and then to put forward some concrete measurse to elevate teaching result in generally optional track and field course for PE majore in the normal university.
