Abstract: Based on literature studies and interview,the paper analyses the features and researching value of the athletics competitions, putting forward to the main aims of the athletics competitions research. Explore how to establish the originating theory system of athletics competitions. The paper tries to structure the basic frame of athletics competitions. It mainly consists of 7 parts: Generality, on origin and development of athletics competitions, on athletics judgements, organization and administration for athletes competitions, the basic elements for obtaining winning in athletics competitions, rules and regulations, how to judge in athletics competitions.
