(School of Physical Education,South China Normal University,Guangzhou 510006,China) Abstract: The authors carried out a comprehensive analysis on the three times of the basic skill competitions for the university students majoring physical education, held by Guangdong province, and revealed the following findings: the results of the basic skill competitions accurately reflected the physical education major management quality and per-formance of the universities, the competitions valued the students’ teaching ability and specialized ability, played a good guiding role in physical education professional cultivation, but had irrationalities in such aspects as competition content setup, screening procedure, education resource allocation, evaluation system, etc. Aiming at the existing prob-lems, the authors put forward such measures as perfecting competition contents, reforming the screening procedure, shortening collective training time, standardizing the evaluation system, building a communication platform, etc. Key words: physical education major;basic skill competitions;teaching ability;special ability;Guangdong province |
