(School of Physical Education and Sports,Beijing Normal University,Beijing 100875,China) Abstract: By applying literature data and case study, the authors carried out a comprehensive analysis on the Olym-pic Values Education Program, and revealed the following findings: from the history perspective, the International Olympic Committee has been valuing the development of Olympic education; while under the background of the new era, the Olympic values education program was established timely, aiming at encouraging teenagers to partici-pate in sports and practice Olympic values; this program compiles a vivid and detailed teaching manual, and has achieved a good effect in countries all over the world by developing education practice via various activities; the implementation of this program has the following features: applying novel and diversified education activities, ad-vocating to blend education into life, valuing the use of ceremonies and symbols etc; while carrying out an analysis on such issues about this program as education content unification and education subject harmony, will provide ideas for the follow-up development of this program.
