Suits’ game philosophy mainly includes 4 aspects, i.e. playing, game playing, game playing and utopia, and the relationships between playing, game and sport. The debates about playing focused on whether playing involves re-source redistribution, and whether the autotelic purpose is objective; the debates about game playing focused on whether the game is definable, whether the definition is too broad or too narrow, and whether the definition content is accurate; the debates about game playing and utopia focused on whether utopia is perfect, and whether game utopia ex-ists; the debates about the relationships between playing, game and sport focused on whether there is a cross relation-ship between the three, and whether the classification criteria have type errors. Suits’ game philosophy is conducive to examining sports phenomena and problems nowadays. Key words: sports philosophy;Bernard Suits;game;sports |
