（School of Physical Education，Shanxi Normal University，Linfen 041000，China) Abstract: Based on the disciplinary system as the perspective, based on logic thinking as the method, and based on disciplinary orientation as the main line, the authors analyzed such 6 basic issues in sports medicine in China as dis-ciplinary attribute, disciplinary nature, disciplinary boundary, disciplinary system, connections to and differences from similar disciplines, and disciplinary future development direction. The authors concluded that currently the biggest problem existing in sports medicine disciplinary orientation in China is the chaos of the disciplinary system structure formed by intertwining with the disciplinary group of sports human sciences. On such a basis, the authors collated the problem producing causes, and gave a new orientation to the sports medicine discipline in terms of the disciplinary definition, research objects, research contents, research area, research methods, disciplinary system, re-lationships with similar disciplines and disciplinary classification standards of sports medicine.
