(1.School of Physical Education,Central China Normal University,Wuhan 430079,China; 2.Hubei Leisure Sports Development Research Center,Wuhan 430063,China) Abstract: “Curriculum ideology” is an important constituent part of the national university ideological and political work quality improvement project, and the top level design of Chinese university talent cultivation conception, pro-viding a new perspective for constructing a university physical education curriculum’s student cultivation quality improvement system. Over the years, Central China Normal University has carried forward the university discipline culture of “Be Practical and Innovative; Establish Morals for Student Cultivation”, practiced the liberal education conception, adhered to the principles of integration, adaptability, transcendence and continuity, constructed a physi-cal education curriculum’s student cultivation quality improvement system, in which the objectives are intrinsically unified, the contents are horizontally fused, the structures are vertically connected, and the implementation is pre-cisely managed, and basically realized such reform conceptions as the organic combination of physical education course knowledge/skill imparting and value guidance, and the organic unification of student knowledge cultivation and student moral cultivation. Looking into the future, Central China Normal University will earnestly study and implement General Secretary XI Jin-ping’s important statements about education, further unify thoughts, improve methods, innovate in practice, comprehensively construct a physical education curriculum system of student cultiva-tion through teaching, practice and service with new era normal university features, truly exert physical education curriculum’s irreplaceable functions in comprehensive development education.
