Abstract: By centering on the historical background and narrative scenario of Движение вверх, a Russian sports movie, combining with the discussion of basic rules, techniques and tactics of basketball competition, and under-standing the logic and authenticity of historical discourse construction in sports movies, the author revealed the truth of such a historical controversial event as team USA was defeated at the last moment of the men’s basketball final in the Munich Olympic Games in 1972. Team USA took the game lightly, sending the second lineup consisting of col-lege players for the game, coach Iba’s coaching philosophy was backward, which caused team USA’s tactical aging and lacking in aggressiveness. Team USA suffered a reversal and was defeated at the last moment, we should admit that dramatic was a part of the game. From text analysis to video narration, the intrinsic logic and preciseness con-taining in movie creation based on historical videos, can be used as textual research on and supplement to sports history research categorization, is the process of falsification or confirmation of historical text research, also the value and significance of historical truth in sports movies.
