(School of Physical Education and Sport Science,Fujian Normal University,Fuzhou 350117,China) Abstract: From two aspects of endogenous and exogenous factors, this paper analyses the original crisis for the In-ternational Olympic Committee (IOC) under the delay background of the Tokyo Olympics in2020, and evaluates and explores using four stage theory of crisis spread and 5s principles of crisis public relations coping course for IOC to solve this crisis. It holds that during the period of sprout, outburst and contagion with crisis, the IOC can use effectively some strategies of crisis public relations including asking for the authority, quickly responding, sincerely communicating, apparently opening, actively assuming and systematically operating, and simultaneously points out that four key points, namely grasping the guidance of public opinion and releasing authoritative information in time, seeking media cooperation to congealing the collective memory of the Olympics, balancing the interests of all sub-jects in the Olympic system, exploiting the all-media dialogue channels with the IOC, can supply reference strategy for IOC being still stuck in the dilemma and crisis.
