Abstract: The curriculum standard of PE and health in secondary vocational schools issued by the ministry of edu-cation in 2020 puts forward that sports ability, health behavior and sports spirit are the necessary physical education disciplinary core attainments for secondary vocational school students. By using the methods of literature, case analysis and comparative study, this paper makes a systematic study on the structural characteristics, cultivation mechanism and promotion dimension of secondary vocational school students’ physical education disciplinary core attainments. The research holds that under the guidance of the educational requirements of “establishing morality and cultivating people”, the cultivation of physical education disciplinary core attainments will help secondary vo-cational school students to improve their ability to acquire sports knowledge related to their future careers, and to shape a healthy knowledge structure in line with their professional characteristic, to form the hard-working and as-piring spirit needed in the process of personal career development. Taking sports ability as the basic support, healthy behavior as the necessary guarantee and sports spirit as the key force can promote the order operation of the cultiva-tion process of secondary vocational school students’ physical education disciplinary core attainments. Adhering to the direction of "establishing morality and cultivating people", implementing the standards of sports participation, optimizing the ways of health promotion, refining the essence of sports spirit, integrating the requirements of pro-fessional literacy, in order to optimize the quality and process of cultivating the physical education disciplinary core attainments of secondary vocational school students.
