(1.Guangdong Mechanical & Electronical college of Technology，Guangzhou 510550，China；2.Guangzhou College of Commerce，Guangzhou 511363，China) Abstract: Socialist core values are the core of China’s cultural soft power, the “greatest common divisor” of the common value pursuit of all people, and the essence of the excellent traditional culture for the Chinese nation. University physical education is a critical field to cultivate youthful university students in the new era and a major channel to impel the education of socialist core values. With the interdisciplinary research method, this paper analyzes the inner logic and valve implication between the socialist core values and university physical education and explores the practical approach integrating the socialist core values into physical education at universities. Besides, this paper also provides the possible theory and practicable path for the university physical education to carry out “curriculum ideology and politics” research from three aspects, namely the curriculum infusion, competition guidance and cultural edification.
