(1.Faculty of Sport and Leisure,Guangdong Ocean University,Zhanjiang 524088,China;2.School of Physical Education,Shanxi Normal University,Linfen 041000,China) Abstract: Taking the orientation of “teaching” and “learning” of enabled by information technology as the logical starting point and the perspective from concept inquiry to reality review, this paper probes into the role and status of “teaching” and “learning” in university physical education with the guidance of “learner-oriented” concept. The research shows: the sharing of educational and intellectual resources and the interaction of virtual reality reconstruct the new ecology of physical education teaching at university in times of information technology; “learner-centered” is a kind of concept advocated and accompanied by the times, but it can’t separated from the physical cognitive logic and objective reality conditions of teaching and learning in university physical education; in times of information technology, physical education in university is the common presence of teaching and learning, paying attention to students' participation, needs and abilities, and actively playing the leading role of teachers relying on the help of information technology and media. The information technology and concept initiation may promote the development of physical education at university towards the accurate feedback, personal instruction, integration of virtual and real condition, and the interaction of all orientation, as well as accelerating the common growth of cognitive ability for teachers and students together.
