Abstract: By the methods of literature review, expert interview, comparative analysis, this paper analyzes the development process of China's broadcasting right with sports events, and finds that there are several kinds of monopolistic behaviors in the process of sports events broadcasting in China, such as using administrative power to eliminate and restrict competition, centralized sales and joint purchase, and using the market dominant position. The main reasons includes that the special national conditions, the economy of sports events broadcasting, the lack of media broadcast mechanism, and the lack of anti-monopoly laws and regulations. Given that the study proposes some corresponding countermeasures as follows: perfecting the anti-monopoly laws and regulations of the broadcasting rights of sports events, reconstructing the income distribution system of the broadcasting rights of sports events, and standardizing the relevant market behaviors for the broadcasting of sports events in China.
