Results showed that: (1) CSL teams achieved higher values in HSRD (before vs after: 5 373±921 vs 5 554±919, 90%CI: 0.23±0.12), HSRDP (5.00±0.76 vs 5.21±0.73, 90%CI: 0.29±0.12) and HIRDP (6.3±1.0 vs 6.5±1.0, 90%CI: 0.23±0.12), but lower values in LSRD (87 071±3 249 vs 86 049±2 924, 90%CI: 0.29±0.13) and LSRDP (81.3±2.0 vs 81.0±2.0, 90%CI: 0.23±0.13) in matches after the implementation of VAR; (2) Teams increased their pass accuracy (72.2±6.8 vs 73.1±6.8, 90%CI: 0.21±0.12) and forward pass accuracy (65.5±7.6 vs 66.7±7.7, 90%CI: 0.25±0.12), but decreased off sides (2.2±1.7 vs 1.7±1.5, 90%CI: 0.28±0.13), aloft challenge (33±10 vs 31±9, 90%CI: 0.35±0.13) and fouls (15.9±4.7 vs 14.6±4.2, 90%CI: 0.32±0.13) in matches after the implementation of VAR. The present study can supply references and experiences for teams in CSL to prepare games and make tactics under the implementation of VAR.
