(School of Physical Education and Health,Wenzhou University,Wenzhou 325035,China) Abstract: In order to provide reference for the cultivation of exercise rehabilitation professionals in China, this paper analyzed the professional standards of exercise rehabilitation in Australia using the method of literature review and comparative analysis. The result shows that the basis of development of professional standards for exercise rehabilitation in Australia includes that public health enhancement needs, national exercise rehabilitation policy initiation and the requirements from the Tertiary Education Quality Standards Agency Act. The standard system for Australia consists of three parts: graduate standard, general standard and domain standard. It is developed by a professional independent institution, adhered to the public health promotion tenet, closely followed by the three dimensions of knowledge, skills and application, and reflected a learning outcome-oriented assessment model. Regarding the present condition about talent cultivation in China, it is suggested that establishing a training mechanism for medicine and sports integration talents, optimizing talent training plan based on learning results, promoting professional standards development, building a standard indicator system in view of students' core literacy and clear professional training objectives.
