Abstract: The theoretical basis, dynamic mechanism and implementation path of digital economy to promote the high-quality development of sports industry are studied. Based on the essence and characteristics of digital economy, this paper expounds the theoretical basis of digital economy to promote the transformation and upgrading of sports industry from the perspective of industrial integration, innovation and development, long tail effect, supply and demand relationship, and holds that the change of economy, policy and consumption environment is the external power to promote the high-quality development of sports industry, while technological change, industrial transformation and industrial innovation are the endogenous power of digital economy to drive the transformation and upgrading of sports industry. During the digital economy promoting the high-quality development of sports industry, there are some dilemmas such as insufficient policy implementation and digital governance, weak application of digital technology and lack of digital sports talents, higher risk of enterprise transformation and weak ability of sustainable financing, imbalance of digital consumption structure and insufficient effective supply of products. Given that this paper puts forward the implementation path of strengthening top-level design and collaborative governance, increasing scientific and technological investment and personnel training, emphasizing subject construction and risk control, and paying attention to marketing and brand promotion.
