(1.School of Physical Education,Hunan City University,Yiyang 413000,China; 2.School of Physical Education,Changsha Normal University,Changsha 410100,China) Abstract: Using the methods of literature, logical analysis and relying on the knowledge of pedagogy, sports science and other subjects, this paper discusses the basic connotation, time significance, content composition and implementation pattern of extracurricular physical education assignments, and holds that extracurricular physical education assignments are an indispensable basic link which is absolutely necessary in the whole process of physical education teaching; extracurricular physical education assignments are the “path” for the implementation of the concept of “teaching well, practicing diligently, playing regularly”, and the “window” of the promotion of integrated physical education curriculum, and the “helper” of deepening educational reform, and the “bridge” of all-round education, and the “grasp” of body cultivation by coordinating family, school and community; and the content of extracurricular physical education assignments mainly come from physical education classroom. At last, this paper puts forward four modes to implement extracurricular physical education assignments, namely “school pattern”, “home-school pattern”, “school-community pattern”, and “school-market pattern”.
