Abstract: Using the methods of literature and logical analysis, the theoretical understanding of the micro-class of the basic skills competition for students with physical education major was carried out, which is characterized by simulation, delicacy, physical practice and instrumentality. From the perspective of practical investigation, the problems of micro-course project practice, such as emphasizing "form" over "content", "full" over "micro", and "performance" over "foundation", are examined in depth to reveal the shortcomings and problems in the design and practice of physical education micro-class. Combining physical education teaching theories, competition rules, training and competition practice summaries and other optimization strategies, the article proposes the following optimization strategies: highlighting the theme, focusing on teaching practice; grasping the "micro" characteristics, highlighting the "micro" advantages; innovating presupposition, enhancing the performance; enriching the amount of information, improving the quality and efficiency.
