(School of Physical Education and Sports,Beijing Normal University,Beijing 100845,China) Abstract: Around by the long-standing value orientation of "discipline-oriented" in school physical education leads to an excessive emphasis on curriculum technology, knowledge system, and teaching procedures, then to neglect students' subjective feelings and personalized development, and to cause a serious tendency towards educational utilitarianism, it is proposed to return to the essence of nurturing people by sports in school physical education from a "non-disciplinary" perspective in the implementation of the "double reduction" policy, and to deeply explore and expand the educational function of school physical education in terms of personal growth and social adaptability, sports practicality and physical perception of educational methods, individual differences in educational methods and “non-ladder” of project technology, and also the process and development of educational evaluation. Given that, it is proposed that the practice path on nurturing people by sports from the “non-disciplinary” perspective in school physical education, which is aimed by infiltrating the spirit of Chinese sports, and based on embodiment, and strengthening the linkage of "home-school community", and also reconstructing the evaluation system of physical education teaching.
