(Department of Physical Education,Xiangnan Institute,Chenzhou 423000,China) Abstract: By carrying out tests on 645 first grade students with the same standard as well as investigations and interviews on 40 PE teachers in 20 middle schools in cities and villages in Hunan Province, the authors revealed the following findings: The level of city group is obviously higher than that of village group(P<0.01),indicating that obvious discrepancy exists in the implementation of new curriculum standard of Physical Education and Health by cities and villages; the qualification rates of both groups are on the low side.The authors also analyzed the results by combining the information fed back by the teachers after using the curriculum, and offered corresponding proposals.
