| (1.Department of Physical Education,Guangzhou Institute of Phaysical Education, Guangzhou 510075，China;2.Public Section of Physical Education,Guangzhou University, Guangzhou 510056, China) Abstract: As objects of study, the students in the city of Zhujiang River Delta were investigated and analyzed for their sports in spare time by the way of correspondence investigation. Results were as follow: 1) all part of students have time to take part in sports.2) The main purpose is to build up their physiques and entertainment. 3) Secondary students like more playing ball and swinging, elementary students like more playing games. 4) The sports consumption has risen obviously, and their playing areas were in school mainly. 5) The main factors to hamper their taking part in the sports were fear to miss their classes and have no sports areas and lack technique instruction.
