(College of Physical Education,Huazhong Normal University,Wuhan 430079,China) Abstract: The study of the physical education subject system in China has gone through 3 stages, in which a lot of research achievements and experiences have been accumulated, while many problems have been exposed. For the study of the physical education subject system in the new period, we should sharpen the identification and appre-hension of relevant concepts, strengthen the study of basic physical education theories and the study of the associa-tions and differences between subject branches in various areas in the practice of subject construction, highlight the characteristics of the physical education subject itself, and establish a subject system construction mode that com-bines induction with deduction.
