(1.School of Physical Education,Zhanjiang Normal Institute,Zhanjiang 524048,China;2.Department of Physical Education,Beijing Sport University,Beijing 100084,China) Abstract: By applying such methods as questionnaire survey, the authors investigated and analyzed the current state of information literacy of college students majoring in physical education in Beijing, and discovered the following major problems with these students: they did not have sufficient awareness of concerning about specialized infor-mation; they had little knowledge about information theories, and a to be enhanced degree of familiarity with spe-cialized information sources; their information retrieval ability was poor; their information ethics should be further guided and strengthened. The authors put forward countermeasures against the existing problems, such as enhance the recognition of information literacy education, improve curriculum setup, value the enhancement of specialized information literacy, and form a complete and orderly information literacy education system.
