(School of Physical Education,Northeast Normal University,Changchun 130024,China) Abstract: The essential attribute of the physical education curriculum lies with the cultivation of social attributes of human beings whose body and mind are both refined, being a process of physical education based on the education and discipline of social norms, ethics and morals. The physical problem focused by the physical education curricu-lum is not only a problem about the physiological composition of forms and functions, but also a social problem in-tegrating social value view, education attribute, talent view, and education mode. By retrospecting the attribute of the physical education curriculum in “physical context” from the perspective of sociology, the author dissected the deviated understanding and flooding explanation of the attribute of the physical education curriculum in recent years, and expatiated on the signs of educational shading of the physical education curriculum over the social attrib-utes of human beings, so as to probe into the essential attribute of the physical education curriculum in such dimen-sions as national will, nationality, discipline and education, and system assurance.
