(School of Physical Education,Sichuan Agriculture University,Dujiangyan 611830,China) Abstract: The author carried out a comprehensive investigation and study on the learning psychology and behaviors of 865 students majoring in physical education in 3 normal physical education colleges in Sichuan, and revealed the following findings: the students’ wishes to be realized mainly included to get a certificate of computer and a certifi-cate of foreign language, to join the CCP, to become a postgraduate, and to have an ideal job; their career ideals were diversified, showing the sign that the career as a physical education teacher was highly regarded but rarely chosen; their learning motives mainly included to perfect themselves, to improve their physical makings and sports skills, to have a better future, and to have a good job in the future; their self awareness was enhanced, but their na-tional awareness was weak; there were such signs as learning objectives being not specific enough and the degree of learning hard being gradually decreased; such a problem as “focusing more on skills learning than on academic study” was still very prominent; due to the difference of genders there was a significant difference in learning inter-est; there was a significant individual difference in terms of learning habit, time scheduling and learning manner.
