(1.School of Physical Education and Health,East China Jiaotong University,Nanchang 330013,China; 2.Department of Physical Education,University of Science and Technology Beijing,Beijing 100083,China) Abstract: Based on the grounded theory, practical cases of ideological and political education reform in the public physical education curriculum at East China Jiaotong University have been introduced. In view of the interview content and the “ideological and political points” of the teaching plan, the core areas are refined and analyzed by adopting open coding, axial coding, and selective coding successively. The results show that the ideological and political practice of sports option courses in colleges presents the typical characteristics of item group, which verifies the construction practice of the ideological and political “option system” of public physical education courses in colleges, including four primary core areas, namely special skills, health first, psychological support, and sportsmanship. Moreover, it is highly consistent with the new goal of four-in-one school physical education in the new era, indicating that the new goal of four-in-one school physical education in the new era is epochal, scientific and rational, and it reflects the inherent law and distinctive characteristics of the ideological and political “option system” construction of public physical education courses in colleges, as well.
