(1.School of Physical Education,Hangzhou Normal University,Hangzhou311121,China; 2.School of leisure sports and tourism,Beijing Sport University,Beijing 100084,China; 3.Zhejiang CoolYou Sports Development Limited Company,Hangzhou 310000,China) Abstract: By means of literature research, content analysis and Delphi method, this study analyzes the current situation of domestic aquatic activity for young children and also explores the necessity of constructing curriculum system for them in aquatic activity, thus to establish a curriculum system of aquatic activity based on the core competencies for young children, so as to promote the standardized and scientific aquatic activity curriculum for them. The research reveals that the current aquatic activity curriculum lacks of sufficient educational values, low levels structured contents, inadequate teaching strategies, and the limited assessment. Based on theory and experience from the core competencies concept, Stenhouse's curriculum theory, and ASA aquatic activity curriculum system, this research constructs the aquatic activity curriculum system for young children from four aspects: curriculum objectives, curriculum content, teaching strategies, and academic quality assessment, which indicates the direction, content, methods, and evaluation of aquatic activity curriculum for them.
